MILLENNIUM CHALLENGE ACCOUNT NAMIBIA
SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF FACILITIES MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT POLICY AND TRAINING IN THE EDUCATION SECTOR

The Republic of Namibia has signed a grant funding agreement, the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) Namibia Compact, of US$304.5 million with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), an Agency of the United States Government, to enable the Government of Namibia to implement the MCA Namibia Programme and achieve the objectives of the Compact. MCA Namibia, a programme implementation unit of the National Planning Commission, will use a portion of the grant funding for the acquisition of Goods, Works, and Services.
The purpose of this Specific Procurement Notice (SPN) is to alert interested firms/consultants that a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Implementation of Facilities Maintenance Management Policy and Training in the Education Sector will be posted on the MCA Namibia website www.mcanamibia.org on 12 June 2012. Eligible firms/consultants are encouraged to tender bids compliant with the above-mentioned RFP to MCA Namibia.
Following is a brief summary of the services:
The objective of this consultancy is the review, improvement, and implementation of a facilities maintenance management policy in the Education sector for sustainable facilities maintenance management.
The Consultant will provide at least a Facilities Management Expert/Team Leader.
The Consultant is required to provide all staff resources and training for those staff that are necessary to complete the Services including but not limited to drivers and logistical staff.
The detailed requirements towards bidders’ eligibility and qualification are contained in the RFP.

Bids responding to the above Request for Proposal are to be submitted in sealed envelopes no later than 13h00 on 10 July 2012 to the address indicated on this advert.
